This kitchen is a contemporary design updating cabinets that were built in
the early 80's. The clients were tired of the white laminate cabinets that
were original to the house and asked the architect to replace them with a
warmer look. The project included the living room cabinets that you see in
the background. All the panels were sequenced match to add to the warmth
of the cherry veneer and help unify the large space
The project represented a host of challenges including the curved wall
sections, fitting the upper cabinets to the soffit without the aid of a
crown molding, and incorporating appliances and large screen TV without
allowing them to compete with the woodwork for your attention.
The end results "...far exceeded [the clients] expectations".
